Qs: 11.  AR: SSSSSSSSSS

N       0:06:24.  An ambush is sprung on poor Jason.  FBI agents pop up from everywhere, even down from the trees, and fill Jason full of lead before blasting him into soup.  A shot follows of his bloody torso, his head (brain exposed) and beating heart.  SR: SSSSS

N      0:10:10.  Phil lays out the chunks of Jason’s body, smoldering and blackened.  He counts the pieces, making notes of the hundred or so bullet hits he took.  He pokes around with Jason’s heart, filled with an unidentifiable black liquid, and continues making notes – until the heart twitches to life, launching into full beating.  As he watches it, something takes him over and he grabs the heart in his hands and takes several gruesome bites out of it.  After he consumed his fill, he leans his head back and gurgles up several ounces of the black filth that Jason’s heart was loaded with.  SR: SSSSS

N     0:16:32.  The transformed Phil lifts a man off the ground by his neck, clears the table of Jason’s old parts and slams him down face-first upon it.  He drives the two-pronged probe into his head off-screen, but what comes next on-screen is pretty raw.  Protrusions of flesh where the man’s face was forced through the grating bleed out as pressure is maintained.  SR: SSSSS

N      0:33:20.  Debby gets ripped in half length-wise when the new Jason runs her through and yanks the implement straight up out of her.  SR: SSSSS

N      0:56:42.  In a very outlandish move, Steven pokes around in an old house and finds – get ready for this – the Book of the Dead from Evil Dead.  Why it’s there, I really couldn’t say.

N     0:59:07.  Jason, through Josh, lip-locks with his latest victim, his throat distending horribly, gross noises in tow.  Immediately afterwards, Josh’s body starts undergoing a vile change.  His skin starts to become waxy and glisten and his face starts to slide off of his head.  He slams against a wall in his convulsive gyrations and when he pulls himself away, a stringy sheet of melting skin stretches like taffy.  Hitting the floor, his energy draining, he tries to pull himself back up, tearing himself from his lower jaw, which remained firmly in place.  His bowels in a pile and his skin almost gone, Jason Vorhees’s latest body collapses.  SR: SSSSS

N      1:03:40.  Steven runs down Robert (Jason) and then backs over him.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:08:13.  Steven piles rounds into Robert (Jason) before blowing his black brains out.  Also, look fast at 1:08:48 – Robert slams the heads of two officers together hard enough that he shattered the bones and tears up the flesh bad enough that the damage sites stick together for a second before separating, the wounds gory but excessive for just a skull-cracking.  SR: SSSSS

N      1:10:40.  Jason stops Ward and gives it to him in a brutal way.  Catching his fist, Jason breaks his arm clean through, the jagged bones tearing out of the skin.  SR: SSSSS

N      1:12:05.  Jason grabs Pookey (don’t ask) and shoves his face into the boiling grease.  While doing so, he elbows Joey in the mouth hard enough to knock her teeth down her throat.  SR: SSSSS

N       1:13:00.  Jason squeezes Vicki’s head until her brains explode like a popped pimple.  SR: SSSSS

N       1:19:20.  The head of Jason’s latest body opens like a door, something horrible crawling out of his neck and shuffling off-screen.  SR: SSSSS

N       Also, prepare for a very special ending.  J

Qs: 14.  AR: SSSSSSSSSS

N       0:06:20.  Richie Gecko puts an 8th hole in Earl McGraw’s head at the liquor store.  The shot sprays blood all over Pete and the counter as he tumbles to the floor.  SR: SSSSS

N       0:10:35.  During not a low profile stop at the liquor store, Richie is shot in the left hand.  Later, he holds it up and looks at Seth through the hole.  We can see straggling bits of flesh around the space, red all over his arm.  Natural Born Killers anyone?  SR: SSSSS

N       0:23:29.  Seth leaves (which he should never have done, for anything) to get food.  When he comes back, he finds what Richie hath wrought.  Hostage Gloria, somewhere along the way, did something to upset the balance between she and Richie.  Impossible to catch unless you step-frame are a quick series of bloody shots of the bedroom they were in, watching TV.  Bloody sheets, pillowcases, headboard, walls, telephone, etc. flash like subliminal images until we see a long shot of Seth prepping to ream Richie for his second, in one day, flagrant act of gross negligence.  SR: SSSSS

N       0:59:40.  Things start getting ugly at the bar when the bartender, mucho furioso that he kicked his pal in the gut some five times when they first walked in, stabs Richie in his already wounded hand causing him to lose more blood, this time in a pool diluted by the liquor the dancer poured down her leg.  Things really get hot when Richie’s bleeding hand turns her into what she really is.  SR: SSSSS

N      1:01:10.  The situation gets worse for Richie – fatal in fact.  Satanico, fully a vampire, bites down into Richie’s neck and hard.  The fierce wound bleeds profusely down his chest, some coming up in his mouth as he falls to the floor.  SR: SSSSS

N       “THE FEAST RAMPAGES ON” 1:02:08.  A woman takes a bite out of a man’s neck, blood spurting onto a dancer’s leg.  Much transforming, biting, bleeding, throat slashing, fist-flying and general barroom violence ensues as the feast rampages on.  Heads roll, throats bleed and the new band plays instruments you’ll never forget: a man’s body has (somehow, in the last minute) been divested of all its limbs, save one which, I’ll say this much, is put back in a very tender place.  The head remains and bobs around as the vampire pretends to play him while one of his fellow bloodsuckers toots away on a spinal column saxophone with its own bobbing head.  The fine gentleman whom the Geckos beat down earlier rips the throat from some poor sap before turning on Kate.  That is, of course, before she inserts her cross pendant into his mouth and sets him on fire inside, causing his face to rupture in places like an appendix, bleeding some vile green fluid down himself.  Decomposing at a fantastic rate, his eyeballs explode, squirting Kate with their milky fluid before the entire body reduces to a multi-colored soup with varying textures, a skeleton set in the middle of it.  Frost flips over a table and throws four of the waitresses straight onto the legs, forming a symmetrical quadrangle of death.  The morbid band plays as Sex Machine impales a woman with a pool cue and Razor Charlie rips the right arm off a man.  In no time the battle becomes one between the two aforementioned, the former snapping the cue across the latter’s chest before driving him through with it, the body degenerating, the eyeballs falling out and rolling into the corner pockets of the table he was killed on.  Thinking he has the upper hand, Frost goes deep in a vamp’s chest and extracts his still-beating (albeit green and black) heart.  In the climax to this grotesque sequence, the roomful of bodies burn up simultaneously, each turning into a repulsive puddle of what looks like spilled paint in green, red and white.  SR: ããããã

N     1:10:36.  In a difficult move on his part, Seth is forced to kill Richie when he turns, having been bitten long ago by Satanico.  Pounding a broken cue into his chest with the butt of his six-shooter, Seth gives Richie “the peace in death that I could not give you in life.”  His body then melts like butter, his skull landing in a sickening spread of goo at Sex Machine’s feet.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:12:42.  Kate nearly trips over bloody severed arms and heads strewn about the floor.  Backing up to the bar while untold thousands of bats swarm the place, a legless vamp drags his stringy, gory self toward her, intent on feeding.  SR: SSSSS

N      1:15:01.  One of the undead lurches and rips a bite from Sex’s right arm.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:22:20.  When Sex turns, he starts biting everybody.  Taking a bite out of Frost’s neck, he switches to Jacob’s arm.  Trying to overtake him, Seth is punched in the jaw, spitting blood.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:31:58.  Taking his lasso and wrapping him around the neck with it, Seth rips off Sex Machine’s head, watching as it rolls toward him.  Kicking it toward Kate, she shoots it in the eyes with her crossbow before kicking it away from her.  Things aren’t over that easy – the headless body sprouts a new head and new appendages before entirely morphing into some monstrous rat-like creature.  Striking it head-on (ahem) in the forehead with an arrow, Kate shoots it again in the gut after Seth kicks it into the fire.  The body blows up, parts landing everywhere.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:33:21.  Frost returns but before he can get a bite in edgewise on Jacob, he stabs the beast through the stomach with his shotgun.  Still in a battle situation, Jacob shoots through Frost’s body at the horde of creatures surrounding them.  When he pulls the gun out, gooey strands of slime come with it before his brain explodes and his body breaks down into an unctuous puddle.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:34:24.  The inevitable moment of Jacob’s turn arrives.  He lurches at and bites the neck of his son Scott, blood running down his back.  In retaliation, Scott pops one of his sacks of holy water on his head, the acidic substance eating away the left half of his head.  The open side oozes a translucent white substance, something like cream, and a like-constituted green goo.  In a tough moment, Jacob fires a round into his ex-father’s head, watching as it blows up all over the room.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:34:55.  Four of the creatures ambush young Scott, taking bites out of his neck and arms.  In the third morally strenuous decision of the film, Kate has to kill her brother to save him the misery of being eaten and then turning, like his father.  When the round hits, he goes off like a land mine, taking a few of the creatures with him.  Parts of him fly toward Kate while runny gobs of ex-creature stretch from the floor to the ceiling.  SR: SSSSS

N      0:11:54.  The Inspector sees in one of his opium-induced visions a Jack the Ripper killing, Jack slitting the woman’s throat and doing what appears to be cutting something out of her.  SR: SSSSS

N       0:21:24.  Polly Nichols evidently had her throat slit clean across, Jack continuing to perform some sort of surgery on her.  SR: SSSSS

N      0:40:58.  In a lightning quick phantasma-gore-ia we see shots of Jack’s butchery being carried out on Dark Annie.  You’ll have to step-frame it to see the bloody, slit throat and ripped-up guts.  At 0:41:21 you can see a better view of things: her abdomen is absolutely torn open and her intestines are drug out up her chest, around her neck and coiled in a bloody pile by her head.  SR: SSSSS

N      1:14:49.  A box arrives between the Inspector and Sir Charles with an attendant note, saying something to the effect of having cooked and eaten half of the kidney, the other half of which is revealed to be the box when Sir Charles opens it.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:23:15.  Netley holds Ms. Stride while Jack slits her throat wide open leaving her twitching on the cobblestone streets, gurgling her own blood.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:27:22.  The next victim, Ms. Eddowes, has been, as usual, slashed across the throat to forestall screaming only this time Jack tried something different.  He piles up organs beside the head like Dark Annie, but the new bit is cutting off her nose completely.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:31:24.  You’ll have to be alert to capture this.  A woman’s body lies on a bed, her head turned toward the left wall upon which is much of her blood.  She has been almost entirely skinned on her front, musculature of both inner thighs visible, intestines scrambled around like spaghetti and the chest cavity hollowed, her left arm draped over herself, her hand hanging into her body.  SR: SSSSS

N      1:38:22.  Jack is shown in flashback slashing a throat and removing organs.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:39:53.  Inspector Abbeline kicks a man half-out of a carriage through one of its side windows, his body hanging behind the right rear wheel, the spokes beating him many times in the face.  When the carriage overturns, his body is drug a fair distance until the horses stop.  SR: SSSSS

N      1:42:47.  Jack works on the woman we saw in Inspector Abbeline’s vision at 1:31:24.  As with then, the scene is considerably bloody as Jack works over his latest victim.  Speaking at length about the anatomical design of the human heart, he pulls his victim’s out and puts it into a pot that he hangs over the stove.  Later, Inspector Abbeline encounters the scene.  One can tell that this one, out of all he’s come across, made even him sick.  SR: SSSSS

N     0:32:59.  Challenging the voice of his father ringing in his head, John whacks Dave across the head with a hammer, leaving him bleeding across the garage floor.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:16:17.  Blood stains the middle of John’s shirt and lies in a puddle on the tile floor while a body is slumped in the tub.  SR: SSSSS

N     The film earns a second point past the mathematical average for its general content, the idea of a pedophilic male playing the games and doing the things to boys that he did.  While this story was fictionalized, John’s was very much true.  The facts are infinitely sicker than the film, life so very many times being more shocking than anything we could dream up.

Qs: 4.  AR: SSSSSSSSSS

N     0:20:25.  Running across Willie, Sam fights for his and Molly’s survival.  He loses, but she lives.  Cradling him in her arms, the shot directly to the heart left no hope of survival, but a good bit of red on Molly’s arm as she begs for help.  A tense scene it is and the catalyst for what is to come.  SR: SSSSS

N     0:26:05.  A hospital orderly who of course does not see Sam walks right through him.  In doing, we get a short tour of his brain as it travels through Sam’s eyes.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:42:10.  Willie’s luck runs out as he’s pinched between a car and a truck, crushed to death instantly.  A fitting end for such a louse, I think.  The impact itself and Willie’s reaction when he figures out he’s dead make the moment entirely.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:55:58.  Carl’s past finally having caught up with him, he throws a giant hook toward Sam who, being a ghost, isn’t affected by it.  It returns toward Carl, but he tries to duck out of a window that the hook broke out.  A lot of good that did, though.  The first return broke out the bottom portion of the window and weakened the integrity of the first.  The second return breaks even this and starts it falling, right into Carl’s chest.  A keenly sharp and rather large piece of glass punctures his heart directly, blood squiring instantly over the glass and all over his shirt.  Of all ways to go, it was this that best suited the snake Carl actually was rather than the friend Molly and Sam thought.  SR: SSSSS

N     0:06:25.  Here we see a happy family watching TV together in their unassuming rural neighborhood.  It is only an illusion, of course.  As we pan around, we see the reality: they all are hacked up, slashed across their chests several times, bleeding on each other as they sat together, a swath of red splattered on the wall.  The killer carries his glistening blood-covered blades out to the trunk of his car from where he pulls a red-fingerprinted photo album stuffed with pictures of the entire families he’s killed.  He pulls out a ruler and perfectly crosses out their address in his little book.  SR: SSSSS

N     0:31:45.  The Address Book Killer’s first on-line victim is a homely, nerdy, working stiff.  His computer starts to act up, corrupting his files. Then, his microwave starts going berserk, setting his TV dinner on fire.  Going in to investigate and finding the source of the fire to be coming from his microwave, the surge flies into the room.  It cooks popcorn on the counter, explodes eggs in their shells, rots bananas into swirls of spoiled food, blows up a bottle of mustard, accelerates the decomposition of a bowl of cherries and starts his flesh boiling, pock-marking it with hundreds of pulsing bubbles.  Slipping and hitting the back of his head on his kitchen table, he hits it again on the floor, a sizzling pool of blood pouring out and cooking on the floor tiles.  SR: SSSSS

N     0:36:11.  Terry has a nightmare at Frank’s funeral where his coffin flies out of the furnace, explodes open and propels his body, with badly charred and gruesome flesh, directly at her.  SR: SSSSS

N     0:55:25.  Karl’s second victim is Elliott Miller, a crash test supervisor.  First, the car’s pulley mechanism starts to act up, threatening to run him over while he works under it.  He’s called elsewhere, thwarting that effort.  Later, while he’s investigating the camera at the far end of the facility, the machinery starts to engage again.  He steps just out of the way, troubling Karl again.  The third time is the charm.  Tinkering around in the front seat, the machinery starts up again, this time whipping the car fully into drive and carrying Mr. Miller along with it.  The vehicle crashes into the wall, but he’s unhurt.  Stomping to the bathroom, muttering evil things all the way, he washes up while he impugns everyone around him for their alleged incompetence.  The car mission having failed, Karl took up another route.  Beating on the air dryer, Mr. Miller meets his maker when the blower erupts into a giant ball of fire and turns him into a living flame.  SR: SSSSS

N     1:05:10.  Karl’s next and last is the Munroe’s babysitter, Carol.  In quite an anxiety-inducing illusion, the small child she was supposed to be watching crawls into the kitchen and starts reaching up around the burners, which have spontaneously turned on.  The pot of milk she had sitting on the stove starts to heat, then boil.  The liquid starts to bubble aggressively as the child pulls open the stove door.  Naturally, we are supposed to think that the steaming hot liquid is going to cook the poor child, but no such harm befalls her.  Carol rescues her, accuses the boys of turning on the stove and sets them to washing the dishes.  Later, at the mark, she heads into the kitchen after them and sets the dishes in the washer and turns the dial to dry.  It pays no attention and sets itself to wash.  Then, it flips to agitate, pouring soapy water all over the floor, her bare feet in uncomfortable proximity along with a barely plugged-in cord that starts to spark as the water surrounds it.  We know what’s coming and start to feel nervous as she pulls her foot up at the same time the water passes under her.  Her luck runs out when the washer switches to a setting that doesn’t exist on most such machines: explode.  The unit erupts in a wild torrent of soapy water which courses around her bare legs and around the sparking plug, electrocuting her as the display changes one final time: die.  SR: SSSSS
